I remember my mind obsessing over this scene a little. I could never quite tell what Sherlock was thinking/feeling after John called him a dick. Was he hurt? Was he proud? Some sort of mixture of the two? Sherlock’s expression is so unreadable it’s frustrating.

I figured it out though. It’s none of the above. He’s just distracted by hearing John say the word “dick”. (Look at that face and tell me it’s not true!)
